Physical Therapist (PT), Full-Time, First Shift, Physical Therapy Department UC Health is hiring a full‑time Physical Therapist for the physical therapy department for the first shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Location Cincinnati, OH, United States Qualifications Minimum required: Degree in Physical Therapy from an approved APTA school. License to practice Physical Therapy or eligibility in the applicable state. CPR certification. Recently certified, licensed, or graduate within the past 12 months. Preferred: 1–2 years equivalent experience. Adult: one year of experience preferred. New graduates considered. NICU: three years NICU/acute‑care experience. Customer‑service and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities Engage in population‑appropriate communication, understand growth and development milestones, and give clear instructions to patients/families about treatment. Involve family or guardian in assessment, initial treatment, and continuing care. Identify physical limitations and deploy interventions. Recognize and respond appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems. Interpret population‑related data and plan care. Perform treatments, administer medication, or operate equipment safely. Recognize and respond to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect. Select appropriate therapeutic assessment tools, complete comprehensive individualized assessments, develop individualized treatment programs consistent with diagnosis, status, and goals, establish realistic and measurable goals, complete evaluations per departmental policy, and evaluate for equipment and follow‑up as indicated. Implement treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, reassess objective findings, deliver care in a professional and customer‑oriented manner, adhere to department safety standards, develop treatment programs to progress toward goals, counsel patients and families about evaluation results, treatment plans/goals, proper body mechanics, and home exercises, utilize updated treatment techniques, and be aware of and accommodate walk‑ins throughout the day. Adhere to hospital/department policies, document promptly, comply with all regulatory standards, and complete charges accurately and timely. Participate in department performance‑improvement programs and committees, pursue educational opportunities, and mentor and orient students or fellow associates as required. Accept at least one student each year per departmental needs, provide leadership and supervision, demonstrate time‑management skills, meet productivity standards, attend meetings and demonstrate professional behavior, participate in committees, maintain a safe and clean environment, use hospital information services appropriately, follow UC Health and Human Resources policies, maintain inventory of supplies, and promote a positive atmosphere.
