About the Role:
Desert Elite Electric & Construction, Inc is looking for a skilled Plumbing Estimator to join our growing team in Indio, CA! In this role, you'll play a critical part in driving project success by delivering accurate, competitive bids that help us win work and build lasting client relationships. If you have a sharp eye for detail and a passion for the construction industry, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed plumbing cost estimates for residential, commercial, and/or industrial construction projects
Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to develop accurate material and labor takeoffs
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricing
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to align estimates with project scope
Track and manage bid deadlines, submittals, and proposal documentation
Identify potential project risks and incorporate contingencies into estimates
Maintain and update cost databases, pricing records, and historical project data
Attend job walks when necessary
Work with project management and field teams during project handoff
Requirements:
Proven experience in plumbing estimating or a related construction estimating role
Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
Proficiency in estimating software and/or takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors
Knowledge of California building codes and plumbing regulations is a plus
