About the role: Our team is growing aggressively, with plans to use our recent funding to triple in size over the next year. We are looking for a Transport Manager to manage the day-to-day allocation of freight for our rapidly growing client base. We're looking for people with extensive experience in the transport industry, ideally middle mile road freight forwarding. What you’ll do: Manage end-to-end fulfilment process with transport carriers for our clients Get into the weeds to understand the root cause and put in appropriate actions to meet customer expectations. Maintain industry leading DIFOT while adhering to CoR / HVNL requirements Use our proprietary internal TMS, identify improvements and train team members Manage any issues escalated by your team & support Operations Manager as needed Motivate and lead a team of several people Qualifications and Skills: Extensive transport industry experience (ideally middle mile freight forwarding) Wide network of line-haul carriers around Australia would be very advantageous Comfortable working with computer systems (we will teach you ours) Comfortable leading a team under intense pressure Practical and proactive mindset to find transport solutions for our clients Desire to learn, adapt and grow!
