Make a Real Difference in Your Community, On Your Schedule. Assisting Hands Home Care East Charlotte is looking for an experienced, compassionate RN to perform in-home assessments as independent contractor (1099). In this flexible, per-assessment role, you'll provide critical evaluations that help older adults stay independent, healthy, and safe at home, exactly where they want to be.

This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse seeking supplemental income, autonomy, and a mission-driven purpose, all while working locally in the East Charlotte area.

Your Role:

Complete in-home cognitive and functional assessments with clients

Maintain objectivity and professionalism during face-to-face visits

Use a structured format to gather health status, medication info, and functional abilities

Submit assessments electronically within 24 hours of completion

Respond to any follow-up clarification requests within 48 hours

Earn $75 per completed assessment (within a 35-mile service area)

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NC or compact state)

Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with geriatric populations

Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills

Proficient in using computers/tablets and technology

Access to a portable Windows laptop or tablet with camera and reliable internet

Friendly, compassionate, and self-motivated personality

Ability to remain objective and detail-oriented in assessments
