PLM Solutions Architect-Aras

Functions: ESSENTIAL Responsible for deployments, developing solution architectures, and transforming customer requirements. Analyze, design, code, test, and debug existing and new programs to support Enterprise Aras PLM. Define processes and capabilities delivered on the Aras Platform to meet customer requirements, configure and customize PLM, and develop solutions consistent with an "Out of the Box" approach. Lead ongoing reviews of processes and develop optimization strategies, collaborating with stakeholders such as SMEs and engineers on requirements and technical insights to drive consensus on system architectural decisions. Drive technological and organizational transformation and creatively solve problems for users. Participate in and lead business requirements and document process re‑engineering steps to drive technical solutions. Analyze the impact of proposed solutions on downstream applications, application integrations, business processes, and related application services. Champion Aras portfolio solution offers from a functional viewpoint, evaluate them for potential solutions to business user problems or IT application needs, design integrations as an architect, and develop new solutions. Develop standard methodologies for system maintenance and application development for the PLM IT team. Fix and resolve users’ issues with application functional processes, data integrity, and system performance during UAT and production support together with system administrators. Demonstrable experience guiding and educating SMEs regarding ARAS and platform capabilities is an advantage. Develop software integrations with Aras and CAD, ERP, and other tools using C#, .NET, JS, HTML, and SQL. Experience configuring CAD tools such as Solidworks, AutoCAD, Creo, and others is preferred. Hold knowledge of Web Services (REST/SOAP), JSON, and XML/XSL to facilitate Aras web interfaces. Be technically self‑sufficient with data modeling techniques, SQL Server, and Microsoft products, including installation and configuration of SQL Server, SQL scripting (Transact SQL), triggers, stored procedures, functions, etc. Coordinate activities with business, IT PLM team, vendors, and extended IT to roll out solutions and provide resolutions to issues found during production rollout. Develop and document test procedures and assist with unit, integration, and regression testing activities. Write and maintain documents to describe application development logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. Set up, track, and use source‑code configuration control software as specified and be responsible for quality deliverables from the development team. Validate proposed solutions developed internally or in coordination with vendors, then further propose them to the internal PLM IT team, IT architecture review board, IT security, and business SMEs to obtain consensus and sign‑offs. Collaborate and lead design discussions with the development team to design and architect solutions at the software application, systems, and/or data integration level using standard processes and Aras configuration guidelines. Develop application testing strategies, code review processes, and guide the development team with unit, integration, and end‑to‑end process test‑case development. Analyze schema for architectural changes and build technical specification documents with performance factors. Promote continuous improvement, DevOps, CI/CD best practices, and agile methodologies for PLM deployments. Have a thorough understanding of large‑scale enterprise application deployment methodologies in an agile environment. Be responsible for peer reviews of design, source code, and related deliverables to ensure quality. Coordinate technical collaboration with PLM system administrators, security teams, system integrators, and support teams.
