Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across various age groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
  • Create individualized treatment approaches that cater to short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver one-on-one therapy sessions focused on aspects like communication, language fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
  • Provide educational resources to patients and families to facilitate progress beyond therapy sessions.
  • Contribute to occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments to maintain seamless continuity of care.
  • Document all patient information accurately and promptly, adhering to organizational, state, and federal policies.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if ASHA certification is pending.
Licensure and Certifications
  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.

  • Expertise in evidence-based practices across all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to customize therapeutic options to respect diverse cultural and linguistic requirements.
  • Analytical thinking and strong clinical judgment that aid in problem-solving challenges.
  • Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and adhering to documentation norms.
