We are seeking a Master Level Clinician with a provisional license (LMHC-A) to join our clinician owned practice located in Warwick, RI for a hybrid position seeing a minimum of 15 clients per week. We are looking for someone eager to learn, passionate about providing high quality and client centered care. Many staff in our office are highly trained in trauma informed modalities and we are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working with this population.

Responsibilities:

Individual Therapy:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs.

• Collaborate with your assigned clients to create an individualized treatment plan that asses both their strengths and needs

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions to address a variety of mental health concerns.

Group Therapy:

• Lead therapeutic groups to provide support and guidance in a group setting.

• Clinicians are encouraged to develop and facilitate therapy groups based on their interests, training, and areas of clinical passion.

• Foster a safe and inclusive group environment that encourages open communication and growth.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, and progress reports.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in documentation practices.

• Regularly review and update treatment plans based on clients' progress and evolving needs.

Professionalism:

• Actively contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative practice culture where clinicians feel connected and valued.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and peer collaboration to enhance clinical care and professional growth.

• Build meaningful relationships with colleagues and engage in opportunities to contribute to the growth and development of the practice.

• Demonstrate professionalism, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to providing high-quality client care.

• Engage in ongoing learning and professional development to strengthen clinical skills and stay informed of best practices in mental health treatment.

Client Advocacy:

We believe strong clinical care includes advocating for clients’ needs both inside and outside of the therapy room.

• Support clients in navigating systems of care, including referrals, coordination with providers, and access to community resources when appropriate.

• Value a collaborative, client-centered approach that respects autonomy while ensuring clients feel supported and heard.

• As a practice, we prioritize advocacy as an extension of care, recognizing that meaningful progress often involves helping clients access the broader supports they need to thrive.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field.

• Active Rhode Island provisional mental health license (LMHC-A).

• Experience providing individual therapy, with exposure to group work preferred or the desire to develop this skill.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build authentic, compassionate therapeutic relationships.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment.

• Understanding of ethical guidelines, confidentiality, and legal standards in clinical practice.

• A strong desire to grow clinically, engage in supervision, and continue developing therapeutic skills within a supportive practice.

• History of working with clients with a trauma history preferred but not required
