Purchasing Assistant - 1st Shift

Purchasing AssistantThe Purchasing Assistant provides temporary administrative and transactional support to the Purchasing team. This is an entry-level role focused on purchase order and order entry activities, maintaining accurate purchasing information, and communicating with suppliers regarding order status and follow-up.Key Responsibilities- Enter and maintain purchase orders and purchasing-related information. - Perform data entry and other clerical/administrative tasks supporting the Purchasing team. - Contact suppliers to obtain order updates and follow up on open items. - Maintain and update purchasing information using Excel and company systems. - Assist with tracking orders and identifying items requiring follow-up. - Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal team members. - Provide additional administrative supports to the Purchasing team as needed.Qualifications- Previous administrative, data entry, purchasing, or office experience preferred but not required. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Comfortable performing high-volume data entry and transactional work. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. *This position requires eligibility to obtain authorization under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
