Contract Length: 13 Weeks (Potential for Extension)
Bill Rate: $105 to $110/hour
Start Date: ASAP (Upon Completion of Onboarding)

Position Overview

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced OR Clinical Director II / Peri-Operative Clinical Director to lead perioperative services for a 13-week contract assignment with the potential for extension. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing clinical operations, managing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving quality patient care throughout the perioperative department.

Schedule

Option 1

• Monday–Friday

• 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM start

• 8-hour shifts

Option 2

• 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM start

• 9-hour shifts

• Every other Friday off

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the Operating Room and Peri-Operative Services.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and supervision to nursing and clinical staff.

• Oversee staffing, scheduling, performance management, and departmental operations.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient surgical services.

• Promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Support strategic planning and operational excellence within the perioperative department.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Required License

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.

Required Certifications

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association.

• Operating Room Nursing Course OR Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification obtained within six (6) months of hire.

Required Experience

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Peri-Operative Services unit, including:

  • Operating Room (OR)

  • Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

  • Same Day Surgery

• Leadership experience including:

  • 1 year as a Nurse Manager , OR

  • 2 years as a full-scope nursing supervisor overseeing professional nursing staff.

• Supervisory responsibilities must include:

  • Hiring and onboarding

  • Performance evaluations

  • Staff discipline and counseling

  • Daily operational oversight

Concurrent experience may be considered.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing , Business Administration , Healthcare Administration , or another closely related field.
