Growing together.Position Details:Location: 133 Brookline Ave, Boston, MADepartment: LaboratorySchedule: Part-Time | 24 Hours Per Week. Three 8-hour shifts per week on a rotating schedule, including weekends. Specific workdays will vary.Primary Responsibilities:Under general supervision, performs routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens (e.g., body fluids, exudates, skin scrapings or surgical specimens), exercising independent judgment when evaluating the validity of test results prior to result reportingProvides data for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseaseOperates and calibrates all equipment in the area of specialization, evaluates the validity of laboratory data, records tests results, communicates with physicians, pathologists and nursing staff regarding test procedures and resultsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualification:Associates degree in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution; or equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in CLIA regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor degree in any discipline or equivalent from an accredited institution is also acceptableDirect core lab bench experienceCertified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), by the ASCP or equivalent certification (those without Certification are typically expected to become certified within 6 months of date of hire). Will also accept certifications meeting the federal requirements of CLIA 88Experience with CAP/CLIA regulated environmentsStrong competency in hematology, chemistry, and urinalysisExperience independently performing and verifying patient results in a LIS such as Meditech or EpicAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)1+ years of laboratory experiencePay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24 - $43 per hour based on full-time employment.
