Job Title: Senior Data Architect Location: United States Remote Duration: Long-Term Contract Experience: 14+ Years
Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture initiatives and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud, data engineering, data modeling, and modern data architecture.
Responsibilities

Lead the design of enterprise data architecture, data models, and data platforms.

Define data strategies, architecture standards, governance, security, and integration patterns.

Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.

Architect cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance to data engineering teams.

Drive data platform modernization, optimization, scalability, and cost efficiency.

Establish standards for data quality, lineage, security, and governance.

Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.

Required Skills

14+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.

Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.

Extensive experience with cloud data platforms and enterprise data architecture.

Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or similar platforms.

Experience designing batch and real-time data processing architectures.

Strong understanding of data governance, security, quality, metadata, and lineage.

Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

Strong experience with Python/PySpark.

Experience with Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh architectures.

Knowledge of Kafka or other real-time streaming technologies.

Experience with Collibra, Alation, or similar data governance platforms.

Experience leading large-scale cloud migration and data modernization initiatives.
