Community Technology Partners (CTP) is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Low Voltage Service Technician. The selected candidate will assist the Services Manager and Technician in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage security, including structured cabling, security cameras, access control devices, and related equipment at client locations.  

Responsibilities: 

• Pull, route, secure, and terminate low-voltage cabling (e.g., CAT6, 22/8, 18/2) for security, data, and audio-visual systems according to specifications, and safety standards.
• Install, mount, and adjust cameras, sensors, and other field devices. Label cables and equipment clearly and organize wiring to maintain clean, professional installations consistent with company and industry standards. (Climbing ladders, crawl spaces, ceilings)
• Assist with site preparation, including transporting materials and tools to job sites, staging equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Safely operate testing equipment (e.g., multimeter) and installation tools including hand tools and power tools.
• Assist with documenting work performed, including installation notes, cable labeling, and system configurations. Report installation issues or discrepancies to the Service Manager and Technician or Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Completion of a specialized course(s) of study at a business or trade school or Completion of a specialized in-house training or apprenticeship program in electronics, telecommunications, or security systems preferred.
• Basic knowledge of electronics, circuitry, and a strong mechanical aptitude. A construction background will be beneficial to understand how to adapt our equipment without creating conflicts with other trades. Construction or Electronics experience a plus.
• Self-directed and motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with a high level of attention to detail and organization.
