Mercy Fort Smith’s Med Surg Service Line offers opportunities across 8 specialty units for nurses to manage patients undergoing medical and surgical interventions. Nurses have a home unit but are cross‑trained to gain a solid foundation in diverse patient conditions, comorbidities, and procedures. Position Details 10,000 Sign‑On Bonus for full‑time RNs with at least 1 year of experience. No contract. Responsibilities Responsibilities : Care for patients before, during, and after medical and surgical procedures, work in a fast‑paced environment, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across specialties. Qualifications Education : Graduated from a nursing school (Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure : Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or under the Nurse Licensure Compact, meeting all state board requirements. Certifications : Must hold an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete the required course during probation; ACLS and BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
