Required Licenses/Certifications: Valid Laboratory Technician license (per jurisdiction)

Hourly Rate: $26.00 – $32.00

What You'll Do

• Collect and process blood and specimen samples via venipuncture and capillary methods
• Perform waived laboratory tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, and other areas at remote/mobile locations
• Monitor and record quality control measures for all tests and instruments
• Enter patient demographics and test results accurately into laboratory information systems
• Ensure specimens are correctly logged, transported, and processed according to protocol
• Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards
• Troubleshoot instrument and computer issues as needed
• Perform routine maintenance on lab equipment
• Assist in managing inventory and documenting quality control data
• Support team members and contribute to a safe, efficient work environment

What You Need

• Valid laboratory technician license (state-specific)
• Previous experience in point-of-care or mobile laboratory settings preferred
• Strong attention to detail and good data entry skills
• Ability to handle biological materials safely and responsibly
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

About the Assignment This position involves traveling to various mobile and remote testing sites within the San Leandro area, operating a van to service facilities with STAT testing needs. The role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vital healthcare service that ensures timely and accurate diagnostic testing even in remote locations. You'll work under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, performing waived tests, specimen collection, and quality assurance tasks to support patient care and laboratory operations.
