Our OR Department embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, which are essential for providing specialized care to patients. This department provides clinical care for patients from Neonatal to Geriatric patients. How you'll contribute Accurately perform patient assessments and identify patient needs. Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patient. Perform timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Perform timely and accurate QI assessments. Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Prepare, position, and transport patients for procedures. Prepare surgical and endoscopy suites with solutions, scopes, equipment, and supplies. Validate proper reprocessing of scopes for every procedure. Assess and care for patients throughout the perioperative process, including pre‑procedure and post‑procedure care. Operate specialized equipment and maintain a safe environment. Account for use of supplies during surgical/endoscopy procedures. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances throughout the perioperative process. Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. What we’re looking for Applicants must have a current state RN license and possess an associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Basic Life Support certification is required. ACLS and PALS are required. One year of experience preferred. ASLS certification preferred.
