Overview:

Site Reliability Engineer

Experience:

3-5 years in Service Reliability/Operations managing large-scale, high-performance hybrid applications (on-prem + cloud).
2-4 years in programming (Go, Python, Java, Rust).
2+ years with cloud transitions & containerization (GCP, AWS, Rancher, OpenShift, CloudFormation).

Core Technical Skills:

Databases: Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Clickhouse, Time-series DBs.
Container platforms: GKE / RKE / AKE, Kubernetes.
Cloud observability: OTEL (tracing, monitoring, incident resolution).
GraphQL frameworks: Apollo, Prisma, Hasura.
Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Service Mesh.

Monitoring & Tools:

Monitoring: Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana/Prometheus, Dynatrace.
CI/CD & collaboration: Rally, Confluence, Jenkins or equivalent.
Secrets & security: HashiCorp Vault.
Caching: Redis (preferred).

Preferred / Advanced Skills:

Cloud services: GCS, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery.
Experience with Vertex AI / Gen AI integration.
Strong debugging skills across integrated platforms (APIs, gateways).
Proven ability to ensure 24x7 high availability & automate repetitive tasks.
