Role Description The Territory Sales Representative is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Columbia, South Carolina Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for generating new business within an assigned territory by prospecting local companies, conducting site visits, and presenting MarshCat's mobile compaction solutions. The Territory Sales Representative will build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, manage a sales pipeline, deliver proposals, and negotiate agreements. Typical daily activities include outreach by phone, email, and in person, scheduling and leading customer meetings, preparing quotes, and coordinating closely with operations to ensure successful service delivery. The role also involves tracking performance metrics, reporting sales activities, and providing feedback to help refine MarshCat's service offerings and customer experience. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in territory management, prospecting, and business development, with the ability to identify and close opportunities within a defined geographic area. Experience in consultative sales, customer relationship management, and account retention, including presenting solutions and negotiating service agreements. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with business owners, operations leaders, and other stakeholders. Solid organizational and time management skills, including pipeline management, use of CRM tools, and consistent follow-up to meet or exceed sales targets. Basic understanding of service-based or industrial/field operations (waste management, logistics, facilities services, or similar) is highly beneficial. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, combining on-site customer visits in the Columbia, SC area with remote administrative and follow-up work. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory. High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is a plus. Prior experience in outside sales or field sales is preferred but not strictly required for highly motivated candidates with strong potential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
