Junior Staff Accountant

Klassic Recruiting is partnering with our client Sproutloud, to source a Junior Staff Accountant to join their offices based in City of Sunrise, FL. This junior role will allow the selected candidate to gain exposure across the General Ledger, focusing on overall accounting accuracy and the day to day accounting support of internal and external clients. Job Description Responsibilities for the role of Junior Staff Accountant: Prepare and create invoices and statements for customers in a timely and accurate manner. Maintain client statements and manage past due receivables. Respond to and address any client inquiries, requests, or billing issues. Prepare various customer and AR reports as required. Process accounts payable transactions daily and weekly to ensure that the payables are. maintained in an effective, timely and accurate manner. Review and approve vendor invoices and interface with vendors to ensure accurate costing. Prepare and process accounts payable checks and credit card payments. Correspond with vendors, respond to inquiries, and resolve invoice discrepancies. Review and reconcile travel expense reports. Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations. Prepare and maintain monthly journal entries with supporting documentation. Prepare monthly accruals, deferrals, and amortization journal entries. Operate according to documented accounting policies, procedures and controls. Perform daily postage and shipping reconciliation and analysis. Update weekly reports for client and vendor purposes. Complete various ad hoc analysis and reports as requested. Handle day-to-day accounting support/process education for Client Services. Become fully educated on SproutLoud features and functionality. Qualifications Requirements for the role of Junior Staff Accountant: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 1-2 years accounting experience. Experience with accounting software a plus; QuickBooks preferred. Excellent written and verbal communications skills required. General knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and full cycle accounting process. Experience with Microsoft Excel. High attention to detail. Ability to multi-task.
