Sinker EDM Machinist | 2nd Shift Location: Port Huron, MI area Employment Type: Direct Hire Shift: 2nd Shift Schedule: 4 Day Work Week with Occasional Fridays Pay: $30-$40 an hour based on experience We are recruiting an experienced Sinker EDM Machinist for a direct hire opportunity with an established manufacturing company in the Port Huron, MI area. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist with hands on Sinker EDM experience who is comfortable working independently, maintaining tight tolerances, and producing precision components. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and monitor Sinker EDM machines to produce precision components Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions Select and properly position electrodes based on job requirements Perform machine setups and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications Inspect completed parts using appropriate measuring and inspection equipment Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality requirements Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work area Accurately document production and inspection information Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures Work independently while communicating effectively with team members and supervision Qualifications Previous Sinker EDM machining experience required Strong understanding of EDM machining processes and precision manufacturing Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Experience using precision measuring equipment Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to perform machine setups and troubleshoot machining issues Ability to maintain tight tolerances and consistently produce quality parts Dependable attendance and ability to work the required 2nd shift schedule Opportunity Highlights Direct hire opportunity 2nd shift 4 day work week | Occasional Fridays based on production requirements Well established and reputable precision manufacturing environment Long term career opportunity with a very stable company #J-18808-Ljbffr Qualified Staffing
