Playwright Automation Test Engineer

Title: Playwright Automation Test Engineer with Agentic Gen AI/Claude through PoC or implementation is a plus.



Location: Whippany NJ( 3 days onsite).

Responsibilities:

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Test Development: Create, maintain, and execute automated UI and API test scripts using Playwright .
• Experience in Selenium and API test Automation.
• Framework Design: Build or enhance scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) for continuous testing.
• Cross-Browser Testing: Validate web application functionality across Chromium, Firefox, and WebKit.
• Collaboration & Quality: Partner with developers to analyze PRDs, identify gaps, and ensure high test coverage.
• Defect Management: Analyze test results and report bugs using tools like Jira.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• Core Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Languages: Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Testing Types: Experience with UI testing, API testing (REST/JSON), and backend validation.
• Tools & Technologies: Knowledge of Docker, cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack/Sauce Labs), and BDD frameworks like Cucumber.
• Methodology: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
