Travel Respiratory Therapist

Minimum experience: 2 years (preferred outpatient setting experience on Vyaire PFT Box); 1st timers not accepted

Patient population: Adults

Certifications required: BLS, CRT or RRT, GA State License

General skills and work setting requirements: RRT for outpatient - must have experience in the Vyaire PFT box to perform plethe, lung volume testing, spirometry, FeNo, and 6-minute walk with or without O2 titration.

Ratio/census: Average daily census of 50; average of 25 visits per day

Unit systems: Epic (required)

Scrub color: Black or dark gray

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: None

Floating: None

Call requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Years Eve/New Years Day

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Clinical screen - candidate will be reviewed by clinical to determine clinical fit, if clinical pass and within Piedmont guidelines, candidate will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be sent on case-by-case basis.
