In cybersecurity incident management at PwC, you will focus on effectively responding to, and mitigating, cyber threats, maintaining the security of client systems and data. You will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and resolving security incidents to minimise potential damage and protect against future attacks.

The Opportunity

Join PwC as a Cyber Threat Response Senior Associate in Cybersecurity Incident Management, where you will play a vital role in protecting organizations from cyber threats through advanced technologies and strategies.

Cyber Threat Responders at PwC are on the front lines of detecting, investigating, and neutralizing cyber threats. This role centers on active defense and incident response, identifying attacks in real time, containing breaches, and driving recovery efforts to minimize damage.

Your Responsibilities

- Identify, analyze, and resolve security incidents to minimize potential damage and protect against future attacks

- Develop and implement cybersecurity strategies and threat mitigation measures

- Conduct forensic investigations and digital forensics to support incident management

- Utilize endpoint forensics and threat detection techniques to enhance security operations

- Collaborate with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) to manage security incidents effectively

- Interpret data to inform insights and recommendations, contributing to cybersecurity governance

- Uphold and reinforce professional and technical standards, including the Firm's code of conduct and independence requirements

- Use a broad range of tools, methodologies, and techniques to generate new ideas and solve problems

- Acts with integrity, empathy, and diligence in the execution of the role of an Incident Response manager and analyst.

What You Must Have

- High School Diploma

- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field

- Working knowledge in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management, and threat intelligence

- Experience in incident management, incident remediation, and incident response planning

- Strong analytical thinking and technical communication skills

- Ability to adapt and embrace the changing threat landscape

- Incident Response skills including host/network forensics, log analysis, and timeline correlation.

-Understanding of investigative theory and best practices for effective analysis

- Proficient in professional communication and adept at conveying complex information effectively

What Sets You Apart

- Training and certifications in Cloud, Digital Forensics Incident Response (DFIR), and penetration testing

- Certifications such as GIAC (GCFA, GCFE, GCFR, GDAT), Offensive Security (OSCP, OSCE), or from Cloud Security Providers (Azure, GCP, or AWS)

- Knowledge of security architecture and its application in cybersecurity strategies

- Experience with cloud security platforms and related technologies

The salary range for this position is $86,500 - $166,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Additionally, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position.
