Per Diem

Location: Lauderdale Lakes, Florida

$40/hour

Job Summary:

At Palms Care Center, we are dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will assist patients in achieving their maximum physical potential and level of independence. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Recording patient responses to treatments and reporting outcomes to physical therapists

• Preparing for each patient's therapy sessions

• Assisting with patient transportation and ordering depleted supplies

• Answering phones and completing insurance forms and other paperwork

• Reading patient evaluations and familiarizing yourself with the Plan of Care

• Administering balance and muscle strength tests

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Graduate from an accredited PTA school and certified in the state of Florida

• Professional and ethical team player

• CPR certified

• Basic knowledge in all modalities

• Understanding of goniometer and dynamometer operations

• Ability to assist with lifting, pulling, and pushing patients

• Compassionate, caring, and dedicated to helping patients achieve their maximum physical potential
