Sr Financial Analyst

Position HighlightsThis position serves as a College Partner within the College of Engineering Technology (CET), providing financial management, budgeting, reporting, and operational support to college leadership, faculty, and staff. The role collaborates closely with departments across the college and serves as a key resource for financial planning, analysis, compliance, and business process improvement initiatives. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement and requires on-campus presence three (3) days per week, with the remaining workdays performed remotely, subject to business needs and university policy.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesigns, prepares, and presents financial information to the leadership team to assist with ongoing management and decision making regarding the college’s finances and operationsMaintains analysis and financial forecasting across the organization, including complex compensation-related reconciliationsPrepares cost models based on data from general ledger, registrar, student financial services, and fixed assetsCompletes and evaluates complex reconciliations and analysis of financial accounts, including operating, capital, special, discretionary, start-up, internal grants, and overhead project accounts to ensure transactions are accurate and in compliance with applicable institution policies and other regulatory requirementsDevelops annual operating budget based on current salary recommendations, current and new academic and operational initiatives, and revenue forecastsPrepares various standard and ad hoc reporting and analysis for management decision-making for multiple stakeholdersOther duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesKnowledge of accounting, finance, and budgeting practices and protocols to ensure accurate financial management and complianceKnowledge of enterprise-wide financial applications and Microsoft OfficeSkill in synthesizing and analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports to support decision-making and budgeting activitiesSkill in written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and customer serviceAbility to manage multiple tasks and projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise professional judgment regarding financial decisionsMinimum Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in related field7 years of relevant experienceEquivalent combination of experience and education may be consideredJob Level OverviewSpecialized Contributor Level 4 - An advanced/lead role requiring a high degree of knowledge and recognized expertise in the profession or field.
