As a Senior Anti-Tamper Engineer specializing in systems engineering and instruction, you will be supporting the Special Programs Division, DoD Anti-Tamper (AT) Executive Agent Field Program Office (FPO) (AFLCMC/WAG-AT) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. WAG-AT conducts studies to identify new capabilities; matures laboratory technologies to be weapon system ready; and develops, tests, and rapidly fields new AT capabilities/products all which provide insight and foundational AT technology to seed DoD weapon system development programs. These are focused on reducing developmental risk and associated cost and schedule growth, ultimately ensuring AT architectures are developed, supporting protection of US warfighters against loss of life caused by technological exploitation of US weapons systems.Responsibilities:Apply DoD systems engineering process, policy, and procedures in the acquisition, manufacturing, fielding, and sustainment, modernization and disposal of new, existing and future weapons systems and capabilities, with specific experience in weapon system Program Protection planning and anti-tamper methodsAssess integrated circuitry, industry standard processors, and memory chips and determine methodologies for reverse engineering electronic systems and integrated circuitrySupport ATEA FPO Education and Outreach Lead by developing engineering curriculum modulesWork with Government and industry partners to develop and update training materialsInstruct ATEA FPO sponsored educational courses in a classified environment by educating the Anti-Tamper community using various instructional aids, videos, customized courses, and briefingsProvide engineering support for technology and product acquisitions to include long-term planning, request for proposal (RFP) development, and technical oversight of ongoing projectsReview and analyze proposals for design feasibility and system compatibilityAssess acquired capabilities in achieving system design requirements and specificationsFor program protection, identify technologies and evaluate system/subsystem design functions and improvements to protect Critical Program Information (CPI)Evaluate system test plans and participate in conduct of system, subsystem, & component testingConduct engineering performance, supportability, schedule, and risk assessments and scheduling trade off studiesProvide specialized support for the Export Integrated Capability Team (ICT) initiatives and enterprise policy modernization; author ad-hoc technical documentation to ensure continuous compliance and mission supportQualifications:An active TOP-SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and access to Special Access Programs (SAP) and have a background investigation current within the past 5 years or under Continuous VettingBachelor's Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 12 years experience in an engineering position with the DoD, other government agency, or DoD contractorMasters Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a minimum of 10 years experience in an engineering position with the DoD, other government agency, or DoD contractorMinimum 3 years of SAP or SCI experience within the last 8 yearsAbility to travel up to 10% (CONUS)Additional desired experience and skills:Experience with Program Protection planning and implementation in weapon system programsExperience evaluating current fielded weapons systems to determine anti-tamper and reverse engineering susceptibility based on vendor designExperience working with industry to assess tamper resistance of current weapons systems within the acquisition development cycleInstructor and curriculum development experience
