Financial Systems Administrator (WMS2)
State of Washington
Financial Systems Administrator
We are dedicated to growing a culture of belonging through our values: Respect | Trust | Diversity | Inclusion | Equity. At the Department of Licensing (DOL), we recognize the importance of work life harmony and strive to create a culture where employees feel valued and respected. Our employees are trusted and encouraged to be a part of process improvements that impact their work, create value for our customers and help build trust in our government.
Our Financial Services Office is currently recruiting for a Financial Systems Administrator to oversee all system requirements gathering, end-to-end testing, change management, technical training as each system change or upgrade impacts accounting functions. As one of the most visible state agencies and the second-largest revenue generator in Washington State, we engage with over 6 million residents each year and collect nearly $3 billion in taxes and fees. We understand that our services are vital to the daily lives of our customers, enabling them to live, work, drive, and thrive. We take this responsibility to heart and are dedicated to providing equitable and meaningful access to our services for every resident. The Financial Services Office provides the core business and financial activities that allow the agency to operate and ensure financial stability as well as overall agency direction, guidance, and management for fiscal related activities in a complex accounting and financial management environment. OneWA, the statewide effort to make current its finance, human resources, payroll, procurement, and budget functions, will place a heavy burden on agencies as they move from the legacy systems and internal platforms. For DOL this impacts systems governing the collection of revenue for licenses and fees related to vehicles, drivers, businesses and professions, firearms, and Uniform Commercial Code filings.
Are you ready to take your excellent communication and management skills to the next level as you ensure our financial systems report, interface, and operate on time and accurately reflect our financial position?
