Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
• Shift: 12-hour days, plus on-call responsibilities
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification, and Arizona RN License
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Holidays: Included in rotation

Position Responsibilities

• Circulate during cardiac procedures.
• Participate in patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Perform required skills including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes as per orientation.

Qualifications

• Current Arizona RN License.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Previous experience in a Level I trauma center is highly desirable.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment.
• Ability to maintain a sterile field during procedures.

Additional Information

• Orientation includes 2 days of floor-specific training.
• The unit performs 10-25 cases per day, utilizing Cerner and Xper EMR systems.
• Emergency response time for on-call duties is 30 minutes.
• Common procedures include interventional cardiology, electrophysiology (EP) lab, and peripheral vascular interventions.
