About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years of critical care experience required. Recent ICU experience within the last year is mandatory. License: Active nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS required. TNCC preferred. Must-Have: Ability to proficiently interpret and manage dysrhythmias. Strong experience in trauma and critical care settings. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Critical Care Float specialty. The nurse will be expected to work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week. The nurse will float to various critical care units, including MICU, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Trauma ICU, and CVICU. In this role, the nurse will be involved in the care of a diverse group of critically ill patients. Weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis. Candidates must submit their requested time off prior to application. References must come from direct supervisors within the clinical setting. Candidates will be tested for the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. The ideal candidate will have experience with ventilators, IV starts, telemetry, and conscious sedation. Familiarity with special procedures, including ICP and PA lines, is preferred. The nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
