Paint/Hardware Sales Associate

Role: Paint & Hardware Sales Associate

Type: Permanent, part-time/full-time

Salary: Hourly, Starting at $17.00/hour

Location: Varies (Westchester, Rockland and Putnam Counties)

Reports To: Store Manager

Environment: On-premises with occasional travel for local deliveries (as necessary)

Key Responsibilities:

• Sell and provide guidance on paint and hardware products
• Greet customers and ensure exceptional service
• Maintain store cleanliness, organize merchandise and signage through the store
• Handle orders, pricing, inventory, and customer accounts
• Use database systems (POS) for order tracking and communication
• Drive company vehicle for deliveries when needed

Driving Duties (as needed):

• Pre-load and route deliveries
• Maintain vehicle and delivery logs
• Ensure safety checks and inspections are completed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of retail/customer service preferred
• Valid, clean driver's license
• 1 year of delivery experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, with prolonged periods of standing, sitting, walking, crouching, squatting, loading and unloading truck or van
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Strong communication, computer and customer service skills
