Job Summary:
An ICU Cardiovascular Nurse position is available in Asheville, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized care in a 19-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) located on the 3rd floor of the Heart Tower. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. This position involves supporting a high-acuity, team-oriented environment dedicated to surgical heart care and critical patient management.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU CVICU)
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Days, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: July 6, 2026
• Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), Critical Care training, 2 years CVICU or CVRU experience, EMR proficiency in Cerner, Certified in ACLS, Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery or Recovery Room care, and valid licensure.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in Critical Care, Cardiac Surgery, or Recovery Room care.
• Additional Information: Nurse will arrive to the unit prepared for work no earlier than 7 minutes prior or post shift start at 0645. Overtime requires approval by Charge Nurse Coordinators (CNCs). Expect every other weekend work and potential on-call duties. Extra days off may be included in the contract.
