Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:


Under the supervision of the radiologist, supervisor and a registered technologist, performs procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients of all ages. Responsible for maintaining expert technical and patient-care skills and providing quality diagnostic results. Individual utilizes radiation protection for patients and employees. Individual administers contrast media and responsible for preparing sterile tray and/or fields. Individual assists patients and physicians as directed. Prepares, processes, and documents information to complete exams. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Requirements:

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

ARRT eligible or in accredited radiology program.

Current BLS required from AHA or ARC

Education: Must be currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technology program.

Experience: Must be in senior year of Radiologic Technology program.

Special Qualifications: Must be familiar with the majority of diagnostic radiology procedures with a high degree of manual skills and dexterity necessary for operation of equipment and patient care. Must be capable of applying technical skills to all age patients.
