FINANCE ANALYST

SUMMARY: The Finance Analyst will serve as a key business partner supporting commercial and operational decision-making across the organization. This role will provide financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and strategic insights to drive profitable growth within a fast-paced consumer packaged goods (CPG) environment. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical, high-potential professional with strong financial acumen and a passion for solving complex business challenges. The analyst will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to evaluate customer profitability, pricing strategies, promotional investments, and overall business performance. Key Responsibilities Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to evaluate business performance and identify growth opportunities. Support pricing, promotion, and assortment decisions through financial analysis and insights. Analyze customer, product, and channel profitability to drive strategic recommendations. Assist business leaders in evaluating risks, opportunities, and investment decisions. Support annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning activities. Monitor actual results versus budget and forecast, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations. Develop and maintain financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning. Analyze promotional effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of customer programs. Support trade spend tracking, forecasting, and accrual processes. Evaluate pricing actions, mix impacts, and margin opportunities across customers and channels. Prepare weekly and monthly business performance reports and dashboards. Analyze revenue, volume, gross margin, and operating expense trends. Present findings and recommendations to finance and business leadership. Identify opportunities to improve reporting automation, forecasting accuracy, and decision-support capabilities. Support development of dashboards and analytical tools using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance and commercial functions. Qualifications & Education Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Analytics, or related field required. MBA preferred for recent graduates with limited professional experience. 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, corporate finance, consulting, banking, or related analytical roles; recent MBA graduates encouraged to apply. Experience in a CPG, retail, food & beverage, distribution, or consumer-focused business is preferred. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency. Experience with Power BI, D365, SAP, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is a plus. Understanding of customer profitability, trade spend, pricing, revenue growth management, or demand planning concepts is preferred. Outstanding problem-solving abilities and intellectual curiosity. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership potential and desire to grow within a dynamic organization.
