Housekeeping EVS Associate Days

Overview Location: Banner University Medical Center Phoenix, Phoenix, Arizona. Department: Environmental Services‑Hospital. Shift: Day, full‑time (40hrs/week, 7AM–3:30PM). Weekend and holiday rotations required. Incentive: $1,000 sign‑on bonus (eligible as determined by recruiter). Responsibilities As a Housekeeping EVS Associate, you will: Perform cleaning of patient rooms and assigned areas, including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, disinfecting, vacuuming, and polishing. Empty hampers, transport soiled linen, and dispose of trash and medical waste, including sharps. Inventory, restock, and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue, paper towels, hand soap, etc. Maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment and report necessary repairs; manage equipment log‑outs and check‑ins. Execute special projects such as window washing, wall washing, and removal of heavily soiled items. Respond to patient, staff, and visitor questions or requests, and strive to meet or exceed customer‑service goals. Follow safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals and bodily fluids. Shift Details Full‑time, 40hours per week, 7AM–3:30PM with required weekend and holiday shifts. Weekend shift differential: $1.00/hour; night shift differential: 18% (when applicable). Minimum Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team without constant supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency reading safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and using cleaning chemicals; able to fill out chemical identification stickers. Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required for employment at specific facilities (Behavioral Health Hospital, Boswell Skilled Nursing Facility, Olive Branch Senior Center, Whole Health Clinic) at time of hire and for duration of employment. Background check and drug screen required upon offer. Completion of onboarding process in a timely manner; failure may result in rescission of job offer. Annual flu vaccination required for all Banner Health employees. Preferred Qualifications Previous related experience and familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques.
