Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure using an incremental, hardware-rich, and low-cost approach. Vast is rapidly developing its multi-module Haven Station to ensure a continuous human presence in space for America and its allies, enabling advanced microgravity research and manufacturing, and unlocking a new space economy for government, corporate, and private customers. Haven Demo’s 2025 success made Vast the only operational commercial space station company to fly and operate its own spacecraft. Next, Haven-1 is expected to become the world’s first commercial space station when it launches in 2027, followed by additional Haven modules. The company plans to develop future habitats and systems for the Moon and Mars, dedicated space stations for government partners, and other crewed systems that will unlock the expanding long-term space economy.Vast is looking for a Senior Technical Recruiter, reporting to the Lead Technical Recruiter, to support engineering hiring for the systems required to design and build human-rated space stations.This is a full-time, exempt position based in Long Beach.Responsibilities: Own full-cycle recruiting from intake through offer acceptance across multiple engineering disciplines and openingsPartner with hiring managers and stakeholders to calibrate on role requirements, interview plans, hiring timelines, and recruiting strategyDevelop and execute sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and close highly sought-after passive candidatesManage candidate pipelines, improve hiring velocity, and drive an engaging, world-class candidate experienceLead interview debriefs and guide hiring teams through candidate evaluation, decision-making, and closing strategy while maintaining a strong candidate experienceDevelop and report recruiting metrics such as interview and outreach conversion rates and pipeline health, and proactively flag potential barriers and risks to the hiring plan using dataEnsure consistent recruiting processes and documentation within the ATSRepresent Vast's mission and value proposition to candidates throughout the hiring processMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experienceExperience managing multiple searches simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong stakeholder partnership and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidatesPreferred ExperienceRecruiting experience in Engineering — Mechanical, Avionics, Propulsion, Thermal Controls, Software, GNC, Structures, or SatellitesExperience using Greenhouse ATS or a similar Applicant Tracking SystemDemonstrated experience operating autonomously and managing competing prioritiesExcellent attention to detail and process disciplineExperience working in high-growth, fast-scaling organizationsPay Range: California$116,000—$164,000 USDWe calibrate level and compensation to the selected candidate's experience and demonstrated capability.
