USD $42.00 - $57.66 /hr. 27775 Overview We are seeking a Registered Clinical Dietitian to join our team at San Joaquin Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, located in Fresno, CA. This 62‑bed acute rehab hospital provides rehabilitative services to patients recovering from injuries or illnesses, helping them regain physical and cognitive abilities to return home at their highest level of independence. Responsibilities Responsible for the quality of nutritional care provided to both hospitalized and ambulatory patients. Perform nutritional assessments/evaluations and make dietary recommendations. Provide patient counseling and education. Develop nutrition care plans, monitor and implement changes as appropriate. Implement nutrition therapy orders and verify their implementation. Monitor and evaluate patient adherence, acceptance, and tolerance for prescribed nutrition therapy. Re‑evaluate and update nutrition care on a regular basis. Plan and direct the nutrition office. Required Skills Bachelor’s Degree required. Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a Registered Dietitian in the state of employment required. Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting required. Additional Qualifications/Skills Current BLS certification from a Vibra‑approved vendor preferred. Knowledge in modern principles and practices of dietetics preferred. Knowledge in safety and sanitation standards applicable to hospital food service preferred. Ability to project a professional image. Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements. Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions. Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
