Wound Care Nurse Rn

The wound care rn provides specialized wound care services in a long-term care facility, focusing on skin integrity, pressure injury prevention, and wound healing.

key responsibilities:

• assess, treat, and monitor pressure ulcers, surgical wounds, diabetic ulcers, and skin breakdown
• develop, implement, and update wound care treatment plans
• perform wound treatments and dressing changes in accordance with clinical guidelines
• track wound healing progress and report changes to providers
• collaborate with rn staff, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
• maintain accurate wound documentation and regulatory compliance
• educate nursing staff on wound prevention and best practices
• support infection control and quality assurance programs

qualifications:

• current new york state rn license (required)
• wound care certification preferred (wcc, cwcn, or similar)
• long term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills

compensation & benefits:

• salary range: $85,000$100,000.00 per year
