Job TitleBiomedical Equipment SpecialistJob DescriptionYou will supervise the evaluation, development, maintenance and coordination of procurement for biomedical equipment (newly procured or used). You will enforce established procedures for equipment purchase and inventory tracking of all equipment accounts under the cognizance of the Navy Health Research Center Commanding Officer. You will serve as the primary technical resource in the design, planning and outfitting of highly sophisticated medical and non-medical equipment. You will serve as the primary point of contact for biomedical equipment maintenance under service warranties or maintenance contracts. You will ensure equipment packages have all the necessary internal and external approvals before forwarding to purchasing division for acquisition. You will direct the performance of equipment inventories annually, triennially, for Naval Medical Logistics Command (NMLC) compliance. You will approve and sign all required documentation for the proper transfer of government property to medical treatment facilities (MTF) or Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services (DLA-DS).
