Access Control (Huntington Bank Pavilion)

About the Role Huntington Bank Pavilion is seeking a Venue Access Control Crew Member. This position is responsible for safeguarding the venue premises, monitoring security, preventing theft, violence, or infractions. The Crew Member may operate metal detector equipment and support the event security team. Responsibilities Guard, patrol and monitor the venue premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions. Operate metal detector equipment when required. Respond promptly to all security and safety related calls. Maintain exemplary conduct and appearance during duty. Adhere to departmental performance, conduct, and attendance standards. Perform a variety of duties, transitioning between tasks without loss of efficiency. Follow all legal and ethical instructions from Security Supervisors and the Manager of Security. Follow Security department policies and procedures. Investigate incidents and compile accurate incident reports. Complete assigned tasks within timelines set by Supervisors or Manager. Interact with patrons, vendors, and employees courteously and professionally. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Current valid California Guard card or Security license (optional). Effective communication skills in English. Understanding of the rule of law and relevant penal codes. Represent the Security Department in an exemplary manner. Ability to perform under pressure and in crisis situations without loss of composure. Memorization, recollection, and quick retrieval of relevant information. Calm interaction with angry or emotional patrons and employees during intense circumstances. Physical ability to walk, stand, lift at least 45 lbs., reach, pull, push, grasp, and drag. Compensation Hourly wage ranges from $17.05 to $19.00 USD depending on location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
