We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women's health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.

We're seeking a dedicated and caring Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient office on the campus of Hartford Hospital and the Bone & Joint Institute. The office is also walking distance to our state-of-the-art employee fitness center. This wonderful location offers a great opportunity for care coordination with system providers and is made of a team dedicated to health equity. The office is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that includes Occupational and Speech Therapy. Our Physical Therapists provide orthopedic & sports medicine services, vestibular rehabilitation, headache management, balance and fall prevention, as well as collaborate with referring partners to bring necessary access to the community of Hartford.

This position will be primarily treating chronic pain populations, experience with this population is preferred. The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living.

Qualifications: Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire Previous experience with treating chronic pain populations.
