Protingent has an exciting contract Manufacturing Engineer opportunity with our client in Snoqualmie, Washington. Function as the onsite technical liaison between design engineering and production: Participate in design reviews, review drawings for Design for Manufacturing (DFM), confirm conformance to customer requirements Assemble and test prototypes and ETO products Prepare production readiness deliverables Provide training on techniques and procedures for production personnel Produce graphic rich work instructions for assembly & test Support onsite Production with Form, Fit, Function changes Review proposed changes with Production, Planning, and Change Management Author/Approve redlines, initiate Change Orders Research/source/approve alternatives for obsolete components & materials Review returned products for Root Cause analysis and corrective actions Perform root cause analysis and initiate and track corrective actions from the analysis MRB member- evaluate and disposition non-conforming materials Lead and support onsite cross functional teams for a variety of improvement projects Administer and improve SolidWorks, IFS, and Smartsheets systems and reports Other duties as required in support of the department and the company

Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent required. 2 years CAD Experience required; SolidWorks strongly preferred. 3 years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing experience Experience with hardware manufacturing including eddy current, NDT Sound technical knowledge of manufacturing practices and product design Excellent problem solving skills Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities and tight deadline Education and experience applicable to eddy current probe, instrument & robotic technologies: Servo drives, pneumatics, vision systems, and associated controls Precision machining, both milling, and multi-axis lathes Rapid prototyping, Additive manufacturing, Laser cutting & marking Written communication and documentation skills for training & presentation Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Proficient making electrical measurements; impedance, inductance, resistance, continuity Blueprint reading skills required, GD&T experience preferred Ability to interpret complex schematics/wiring diagrams Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing practices Ability to lead and build high performing cross functional teams Experience with SPC, DOE, Gage R&R for process control and improvement Must be able to support production floor activities at any given time
