Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients presenting with conditions including respiratory distress/failure, DKA, seizures, and pain management needs
• Administer and monitor continuous drips and perform arterial line and central line/CVP management
• Assist with and monitor patients undergoing moderate sedation procedures
• Float to NICU and general Pediatrics units as needed within scope of practice
• Complete required facility orientation modules virtually on the first day of contract and annual compliance modules as applicable

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of PICU nursing experience
• Valid Maryland RN license or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required
• Ability to float to NICU and Pediatrics units within scope of practice
• Professional references required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines/CVP monitoring, and moderate sedation
• Familiarity with managing complex pediatric diagnoses including DKA and seizure management
