Your Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostics, and crafting tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic illnesses interdependently with physicians or independently (as per your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and their families on preventive measures, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies as permitted by your license
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless and comprehensive care experience
• Meticulously documenting within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Certification Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Mandatory Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state of Louisiana
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
