We have been delivering reliable design of complex electrical systems for over 20 years and are a pioneer in the development of engineering and controls automation.Job Type: Full-Time +, Exempt Pay: CompetitiveEssential Functions & Responsibilities:Engineering site surveys and analysisFeasibility studiesLoad studies and energy analysisComputer Aided DraftingComputer Aided Drafting Quality ControlDetailed design of power distribution systems, including but not limited to:Medium voltage protective relayingService entrance switchboardsEngine generatorsUninterruptible power supply systemsMonitoring and controls systemsLighting and lighting control systemsFire alarm and security systemsDevelop one-line diagrams, control schematics, and electrical & instrument diagrams (E&IDs)Perform equipment selections, load calculations, control diagrams, systems narratives, commissioning planning and execution, and creating specification documentsUtilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutionsAssist in the development and review of custom designs and sequencesDevelop and implement integrated systems testing procedures and commissioningAssist with Project management to deliver projects on time and within budgetWork with Clients, Salesman, Managers and Engineers to coordinate project designsWork with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate tradesAttend job meetings & coordinate activities as requiredAttend training as requested to further enhance your dutiesMinimum Qualifications:Must be 18 years of age or olderAbility to work accurately, with attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding initiative, a well-organized and strong sense of responsibilityProficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applicationsPossess a strong awareness of current and emerging industry standards, vendors, and technologies as they relate to the consulting engineering industryEducation & Experience:Two to five years of experienceBS in Electrical EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) LicenseBasic knowledge of electrical design concepts and techniquesExperience with REVIT is an advantageLicense & Certifications:Driver's License Preferred, but not requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) LicenseTravel: Occasional overnight stays and local day travel may be necessary. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation to and from the office and job sites. You will be reimbursed for business expenses such as tolls, parking and business-related mileage at a rate allowable by government standards. The expenses incurred traveling to and from the office are excluded from reimbursement. Physical Requirements: The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
