Project Architect

Position Description The Project Architect will be a key leader on the team responsible for guiding clients through the design process while producing high quality construction documents. This role is fully responsible for multiple multifamily and/or small commercial projects and supports project pipeline development with multifamily/affordable housing clients throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Responsibilities Lead architecture services including due diligence, feasibility studies, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, internal construction support, and quality assurance/quality control. Understand, communicate, and ensure the execution of clients’ values, goals, and vision for their project. Provide clients with timely, accurate, and helpful information: facilitate bi‑weekly client meetings, create and manage schedules (Gantt charts), and track fees and construction budgeting support. Onboard and manage consultants and trade partners. Partner with firm executives and business development staff to win projects. Requirements Professional Architectural Degree with 8+ years of experience. Specific experience in subsidized affordable housing projects (esp. LIHTC) preferred. Strong understanding of project management and highly organized. Confident and capable guide for clients. Team‑friendly collaborative environment. Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Suite. Position Objectives Achieve 100% client satisfaction. Be an integral part of a functional team.
