In this position, you will work closely with a caring educational team, providing one-on-one assistance to help your student thrive. Following guidance from a vision specialist and RSP teacher, you’ll deliver safety oversight and assist with braille materials, ensuring full participation in the classroom experience.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, preferably supporting K-12 students
• Understanding of best practices working with visually impaired students is highly valued
• Ability to follow direction from specialized educators
• Patient, attentive, and reliable—able to foster a positive learning environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn braille support methods as needed

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to a kindergarten student with visual impairment
• Offer safety monitoring and classroom assistance to meet unique needs
• Help facilitate braille learning and access to instructional materials
• Collaborate regularly with the vision specialist and RSP teacher
• Maintain discretion and professionalism regarding student information

This rewarding role is part time, Monday through Friday, from 7:55am to 11:30am, and offers compensation starting at $23 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
