Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Pasadena, Texas

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 3 PM to 3 AM, working alternate weekends.

Job Description: The Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management. The RN will utilize advanced critical thinking and extensive experience to assess and coordinate care for patients in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to treatment and make adjustments as needed.
• Engage in trauma and emergency procedures such as thoracotomy, arterial lines, and mass transfusion protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess an active RN license.
• Required Certifications: ENPC, TNCC, ACLS, PALS, BLS, CPI with TIC.
• Preferred certifications: NRP and STABLE.
• Extensive experience in trauma, STEMI, stroke, and sepsis management is required.
• Adult and pediatric ED experience is preferred.
