This role will assess current data engineering workloads, resolve delivery challenges, and move priority solutions into production.The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Databricks and dbt Cloud, can build reliable and scalable data pipelines, and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.What You’ll do* Assess existing data engineering workloads and identify technical or delivery issues.* Design, build, test, deploy, and support data pipelines using Databricks and dbt Cloud.* Remediate pipeline, workload, and production-readiness challenges.* Move priority data workloads into production with a focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.* Contribute to data architecture, data modeling, testing, and deployment decisions.* Partner with solution leadership, senior stakeholders, and other engineers to establish sustainable engineering and delivery practices.* Communicate technical risks, recommendations, and progress clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Work collaboratively as part of a cohesive, outcomes-focused delivery team.What You’ll Bring* Professional experience designing and delivering modern data engineering solutions.* Strong hands-on experience with Databricks.* Strong hands-on experience with dbt Cloud.* Data Vault experience* Advanced SQL skills and experience developing production-grade data pipelines.* Experience with data transformation, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.* Ability to assess existing workloads, troubleshoot delivery issues, and implement practical solutions.* Experience working in consulting, client-facing, or complex delivery environments.* Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work remotely during Mountain Time business hours.Preferred Qualifications* Experience with Qlik Replicate or similar data ingestion tools.* Experience implementing Change Data Capture (CDC) solutions.* Experience contributing to greenfield data platform builds or cloud data modernization initiatives.* Familiarity with data quality, testing, monitoring, and deployment best practices.Key SkillsDatabricks, dbt Cloud, SQL, data pipelines, ETL/ELT, data modeling, cloud data platforms, Qlik Replicate, CDC, consulting, and stakeholder communication.Compensation and BenefitsSlalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life.
