As a Membership Recruitment Specialist, you’ll be the friendly, energetic face of Girl Scouts in your community — sparking curiosity, building relationships, and inspiring girls and families to join the movement. You’ll spend your days connecting with schools, faith-based groups, and community partners to grow membership and recruit the volunteers who make Girl Scouting possible. This is a dynamic, people-centered role perfect for someone who loves storytelling, engagement, and seeing their work directly impact others.

The Opportunity 

Are you a passionate leader and natural connector? We’re looking for an energetic Recruitment Specialist to advance our mission by recruiting and retaining girl and adult members within an assigned geographic territory. In this role, you’ll foster partnerships, support volunteers, and help ensure every girl has access to opportunities that empower her to thrive. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Recruitment and Growth: Develop and implement year-round strategies to meet or exceed membership goals for girls and adult volunteers. 
• Community Partnerships: Build relationships with schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community groups to increase awareness and engagement. 
• Volunteer Support and Retention: Recruit, onboard, and train new troop leaders while providing coaching that supports a high-quality, sustainable first-year experience. 
• Service Unit Support: Support and empower local Service Unit volunteers to lead recruitment efforts and retain existing members. 
• Data-Driven Decision-Making: Track, analyze, and report on membership leads, trends, and progress toward goals using CRM systems such as Salesforce. 

What You Bring 

• Experience and Education: Experience in membership development, recruitment, community organizing, sales, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience are also encouraged. 
• Passion: A strong commitment to the Girl Scout mission and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. 
• Results Orientation: A proven ability to achieve sales-related, recruitment, or membership goals. 
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with confidence presenting to diverse audiences. 
• Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with CRM software, such as Salesforce, is preferred. 
• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including frequent evenings and weekends. This position typically requires 2-3 evenings per week and 2 or more weekend workdays per month during our fall peak season. 
• Transportation: A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required. 
• Screening: Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary of $42,000–$45,000 based on experience and qualifications.
