IT Business Analyst

Job Description

A large local utility client is seeking an IT Business Analyst to support an ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) upgrade.

On a daily basis, the BA will facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges, capture requirements, and define process improvements related to operational systems and advanced utility applications. The role will support projects involving outage management systems, distribution operations, and other enterprise technologies that enable reliable service delivery.

Exposure to outage management platforms, advanced utility applications, or electrical operations is highly desirable. Candidates with an electrical engineering, power systems, field operations, or related technical background will be well-positioned to understand the business context and effectively partner with stakeholders across the organization.

The role will require travel to multiple offices and service centers across the Seattle area, so reliable transportation is essential.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Process Analyst

• Proven ability to create, document, and manage business requirements across cross-functional teams

• Experience working with third-party vendors or system integrators on enterprise system implementations

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Ability to facilitate workshops and gather requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Experience with business process mapping and identifying areas for process improvement

Comfortable working independently and traveling to multiple locations as needed • Utility background, specifically electrical

Experience with Outage Management systems and/or advanced applications
