Leading the social media strategy for POGO Investigates, the full-time Social Media Editor will manage content across various platforms, create engaging narratives from investigations, and enhance audience engagement while working remotely. Key responsibilities: Own the social content calendar and produce native packages for investigation launches across multiple platforms Write social copy that aligns with POGO Investigates' voice and strategy, maintaining a balance of native and linked content Track performance metrics using analytics tools and report on engagement and growth against strategic benchmarks Required qualifications: Three years of experience managing social media for a newsroom, news outlet, or journalism nonprofit Demonstrated ability to create diverse native content formats, including written threads and short-form video Strong news judgment with the ability to identify key findings and adhere to journalistic standards Experience with social media management and analytics tools, translating data into content decisions Understanding of nonpartisan communications and the ability to cover politically sensitive topics appropriately
